If you are either sick of having to set up multiple blog avatars or being stuck with the “I’m a guest and I don’t have my own avatar” avatar then here is the solution for you…
Gravatar – or ‘Globally Recognised Avatar’ – takes the premise that instead of having to upload a user-image to every blog or forum you contribute to, you can sign up for a Gravatar account and attach an image to your email address(es) which is then recognised across the web. You can find out more about Gravatars on the website:
The site gives you detailed information on how the process works and tutorials on how to set up your account. It also has added functionality for WordPress users, and allows WordPress.com users to sign in with that account.
I personally could not recommend Gravatar enough; it gives your blogging presence a unified aesthetic which helps to build your online identity, and with setup being so easy you’ll kick yourself that you didn’t do it sooner!
